Roll the tape...

I have a new obsession recently. Thanks to the 24/7 non stop internet connection from the university, I am now able to get online to download my movies. Well, gay-themed movies to be precise. Let me tell you one thing, I never liked this type of movie before. The reason is, I do not need too much of “gayness” in my life and I am still in the closet. But I do watch some of it once in a while when my friends introduced it to me such as Queer As Folk, Dante’s Cove and Queer Eye For The Straight Guy (The Fab 5 is fantastical!!).

I watched
Brokeback Mountain a couple of years back and it was directed by an Asian director which won him an Oscar for the Best Director!! Later my friend introduced me to a hilarious drag queen movie called “To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar”. Seriously, I watched this over and over again for numerous times until I lose track of the counts. But then that’s about it. No more gay-themed movie after that. 2 months back, soon after the university upgraded the wireless system, and I have so much time to spend in front of my computer, I started to think, let’s do something with this free connection!

The first movie I downloaded with the university wireless is “Eating Out 3: Eat All You Can”. Just because we are prohibited to install and use the torrent downloader or peer-to-peer application, I have to find an alternative for it. So right now I can only download those movies from several websites that I know such as medi*****, filef****** and eas*****. The problem is, we need to download the movie in fragments. And after we already have all the parts, we need to join them and then only we can watch the whole movie. Here come to major problem. Just because the connection is unstable most of the time, the download progress will get stuck once your connection speed get very low. There are times when I was thinking to kill myself because the download is just simply stop at 99%!! And then you have to re-download everything all over from the start. Sigh….

So far, I have quite a collection now. The Mulligans (I actually downloaded this at home and kept it in my iPod but then totally forgot about it before I rediscovered them when my friend was asking for some movies). Philadelphia, Wedding Wars, The Love of Siam, As Luck Would Have It, Ciao, Make The Yuletide Gay, Bangkok Love Story, The Lucky Bastard, Boy Culture, Redwoods, The Art Of Being Straight, Prayers For Bobby, Trick, Defying Gravity, and the list goes on and on….

Maybe one day I should write a review for it!!! Wait up!!!
